Cancellation Policy
All shoots have to be paid in full at the time of booking. A refundable security deposit of $300.00 CAD will be held on the booking credit card for the duration of the booking.
If you reschedule your reservation more than 24 hours prior to your booking time, you will be charged a rescheduling fee of 20% of your booking value. You can reschedule your appointment directly using the link in your booking confirmation email.
We do not accept any rescheduling of reservations within 24 hours of your booking time, you will be liable for the full value of the booking.
We only offer studio credit for cancelled bookings (no refunds) and the following conditions apply:
If you cancel your reservation more than 48 hours prior to your booking time, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 20% of your booking value.
We do not accept any cancellation of reservations within 48 hours of your booking time except for Covid-19 related reasons (see above). You will be liable for the full value of the booking.
Cancellation requests can only be made by emailing us at hello@sunandsandstudio.com.
Covid-19 Exceptions
If government regulations no longer permit the studio to operate as a business, you may choose to reschedule your booking or have your booking refunded.
If you or your team have to cancel because of Covid-19 but the studio is allowed to legally operate, no special treatment/exceptions will be applied. The rebooking/cancellation rules stated above will apply.
Rules & Policies
Please use sanitizer provided at the entryway console upon entering the unit.
You must adhere to City of Toronto’s mask wearing regulations in and outside of the unit.
Max 15 people in studio (this may change depending on the most up to date COVID-19 regulations.)
We are located in a mixed residential building. Since the studio is not soundproof, please keep the noise level to a reasonable residential volume, including any use of music.
No alcohol or recreational drugs.
No loitering, loud noises or cameras in the hallways.
Our studios cannot be used to shoot pornographic, violent, racist or any content that we may deem to contribute to the discrimination and harassment of others because of race, sex, disability, age etc.
The parking lot is for residents only. Paid parking is available on the street and across the street from the building.
There are passive security cameras in place in common areas (to keep track of the time people come in and out, any damage or theft). DO NOT UNPLUG CAMERAS AT ANY TIME.
No Pets (EXCEPT of course service animals).
Glitter, smoke machines, confetti, sand, or other difficult to clean items are NOT permitted inside the unit.
Outdoor shoes MUST be removed upon entering the unit by everyone in your team. Failure to remove shoes will result in a $75 extra cleaning fee charged to the credit card used to book the space. We take pride in the safety and cleanliness of our space.
No lighting candles or sparklers.
We are not responsible for loss or damages to items left in the unit or the building.
Minors must be supervised by adults at all times.
Set up and clean up time must take place within the booked time slot. If you need extra time and the room is available, you can add additional time in 1 hour increments. Advanced notice is required prior to the end of your booking time if you wish to extend your time. If you go over your time with no advance notice additional booking charges will be automatically applied to the credit card on file.
You are responsible for any damage (break, stain, rip, etc) to any furniture, fixtures or accessories. Any damaged items will automatically be considered as sold at the most up to date retail price (+ sales tax) of the item. If you break it you buy it. Any damage will be assessed, repaired or replaced at the discretion of Sun and Sand Studio Inc., and taken from the credit card used to book the space.
No smoking or vaping of ANY substances inside the space. If you fail to follow this rule, you will be charged a $500 CAD cleaning fee to the credit card used for the booking, plus immediate escorting off the premises by police.
No food or liquids permitted outside of the dining area. Any spills or stains on rugs will result in cleaning charges taken from the credit card used to book the space.
Clean up trash or other items on-premises before leaving. Please leave all trash in a tied up garbage bag by the entryway. Make sure to pour out any liquids in the sink prior to placing cups or containers in the trash bag. The bags are located under the sink. If the room is left untidy, you will be charged a $200 cleaning fee charged to the credit card used to book the space.
Important Fine Print
While we agree to provide the space in good working order, we make no unique guarantees as to the studios functionality or suitability to the renters needs.
Sun and Sand Studio Inc. is not liable for acts out of its control that affect rental, such as government mandated lockdowns, power outages, construction, weather, emergencies, acts of God etc.
The Renter takes responsibility for and is liable for themself and their guests while on the premises.
Renters agree that Sun and Sand Studio Inc. holds no liability for any damage or injury caused by the use of the studio or rental items to Renter or any third party. The Renter assumes all risk of personal property damage or personal injury. If an accident involving the studio's rental items has occurred while it is in the Renter's possession, Renter shall make Sun and Sand Studio Inc. aware by a written statement of details of the occurrence of the event, including a police report and names and addresses of witnesses, if applicable.
Sun and Sand Studio Inc. will not be held liable for any injuries or accidents to the Renter, Renter’s employees, Renter’s contractors, Renter's clients, or any and all Renter's visitors that occur within or outside the Studio premises.
Renters will be liable for any physical damages, legal actions, and/or loss of reputation or business opportunities that Sun and Sand Studio Inc. may incur as a consequence of the actions of Renter or any of Renter’s guests while Renter is in control of the studio, and shall indemnify and hold harmless Sun and Sand Studio Inc. against any and all legal actions which may arise from Renter’s use of the venue.
The Renter Agrees that If any protocols/terms/conditions etc. are broken, Sun and Sand Studio Inc. does not have to refund any monies paid for past or future bookings and Renter may be subject to additional financial or legal penalties.
